The Test Design Specification identifies a set of features to be tested and describes a group of test cases that will adequately test those features.

It is composed of the following 5 sections:

1. Test design specification identifier
2. Features to be tested
3. Approach refinements
4. Test identification
5. Feature pass/fail criteria
